Lots of people seem to buy this kind of “Active Rock” (can’t really write with a sneer), the kind of “hard rock” for people too pussy to listen to metal. Which is funny, cuz there are a few moment here and there of metal screamo here, and metal sure has a whole lotta sissy singing these days. Pillar might fall somewhere between, I dunno, Hoobstank and Lit or something, but I kinda wish they’d just fall off a cliff. This kind of “heavy rock” allows mainstream morons to think they’re bad-ass without ever realizing this garbage is barely the tip of the iceberg.
