Project Pollen

Project Pollen stands out, mainly because I’ve been listening to it so much. Their self-titled album on Mutiny is laid-back, female-vocaled, easygoing and full of percussive keyboards, maybe the occasional Rhodes Piano. Favorite track: “Scum,” with the lilting chorus, unflinching but almost forgiving, “You always clip my wings you scum.” Somebody get these guys a publicity machine.
