U.S. Bombs – War Birth – Review

U.S. Bombs

War Birth (Hellcat)
by Scott Hefflon

Opening with “That’s Life” (think of what staggering Sid did to “My Way”), the U.S. Bombs are the saving grace of punk rock in the late ’90s. Never mind the Pistols, U.S. Bombs are street punk the way it oughtta be. Rarely does mid-tempo rawk get ya more riled up than hyper-fast thrash, but the Bombs make you want to clench your fist, smash a few things, throw garbage cans into the street, and tell your neighbors to piss off. Not to cop a phrase, but U.S. Bombs are some bomb shit.
