Some will be too “street punk” or “mod/garagey” for ya, but it’s just cool to hear bands on TKO and Hellcat back-to-back with Estrus/Bomp!/In the Red bands.
A grouchy reviewer might grumble that TKO’s latest sampler is mostly filler, but an astute music historian would point out it’s merely carrying on the legacy.
I’m goddamned sick and tired of battlin’ writer’s block to once again arrive at a frustrated first step, y’know, leave me alone and let me go back to bed. I say that every issue, and now I quit.
If you’re a fan of good ol’ punk, the kinda snarling, rawkus rock that makes you lock arms with yer mates in merry roughhousing, Punch Drunk is just the thing.
A punk rock party record with, as the title implies, favorite oldsters and young bucks, near thirty tracks in all, cuz someone thought it was a good idea.
