This is exactly what I hate about remix albums. Being somewhat unfamiliar with Author of Pain, and not being inspired in any way, shape, or form to find it after hearing what “taking the music in new directions” sounds like, I have no real basis for not liking these remixes other than that they’re boring as all shit. Everyone says they’re trying to create electronic music with an organic sound. Most fail. Heavy Water Factory certainly does. I have a bunch of synths and keyboards too, fellas, I just avoid subjecting people to my Village People/ White Zombie splice’n’remixes unless we’re all loopy, the curtains are drawn tight, and I know no one’s going to remember any of it the next day. Take a hint, huh?
