Mick Harris has long surpassed his Napalm Death days, going so far as to say “All rock is shit. I’m not interested in it. It’s stagnant.” So. Now? A live album from Rome, where Eraldo Bernocchi helps him out with guitar treatments over his patented menacing beats. A friend of mine called his music “impending.” Ominous, looming, creepy, intense, disturbing. Also included are some unreleased tracks originally composed for a Laswell collaboration. He seems to be edging into deep soul hip hop. I wonder how far he’ll go…
