Cry Now, Cry Later

From the uglier, dirtier underside of heavy music, Cry Now, Cry Later (available, I think, as two separate CDs, even though my copy is both combined) drills like a dentist to the exposed nerve of anger, violence, and loathing. With a filthy, vintage sound (the vocals sound like the mic is stuck in the “singer’s” craw, the guitars sound more like a vacuum than an instrument, and the drum lines sound like the kit fell off the back of a moving truck and are clattering down the street), Cry Now, Cry Later ranges from grinding slow hate to hyperspeed skull-fucking. Band contact info (and often translations of the screaming) is included with full-page imagery of obese naked women, decaying corpses, and various other grotesque subjects. Not for the squeamish, obviously.
