The DeRita Sisters And Junior – Abusement Park – Review

The DeRita Sisters And Junior

Abusement Park (High Society)
by Scott Hefflon

Whether you think this is useless or kinda cool depends on whether you think goofy ditties about sport fags, puking, fighting, bosses, masturbation, drinking, fucking, war, politics, pizza, and shitting are dumb or funny. There are a lot of songs here, and they’re all short. Not badly produced, either. There’s stuff you might wanna throw on a beach/party/driving mixed tape, but this stuff is always a lot more fun to play than to listen to. The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Nobodys, and probably others started here, and all except the Nobodys have gone on (Nobodys are still under the impression that a few chords and first-draft lyrics should be recorded and released), so perhaps these guys will go somewhere. But probably not.
