A.C. – Picnic of Love – Review

A.C.

Picnic of Love (Off the Record)
by Scott Hefflon

OK, so now they’ve effectively written two songs in their lives: the standard one where Seth Putnam swallows the mic and exhales, then screams – meanwhile, the rest of the band grinds away on various parts they happened to just think of, and now this repeated acoustic ballad about love, cute puppies, and flowers in which Seth doesn’t hit a right note even by accident. I like when Seth yowls better than his “sensitive” falsetto, and that ain’t saying a helluva lot. While, of course, it sounds like a funny idea to have Anal Cunt play sentimental acoustic songs, that’s what A.C. has always been – a funny idea that stopped being funny a long time ago.
