Final Cut – Atonement – Review

Final Cut

Atonement (Slipdisc)
by Chris Best

I was expecting an all-out riff picnic from this, but instead got a platter of deep, pulsing beats and basslines, sparse guitars, dark and distant vocals, and a subtle touch not found in industrial bands signed to major labels (even if the label’s an “indie front”). This is well above average, sometimes they over-reach, but it’s still pretty good. A little pompous, but decent.
