This record is exactly what you’d expect from the title: “It’s a Shame About Mrs. Robinson’s Big Gay Heart,” in other words, Evan Dando’s poppy platitudes to drugs, homosexuality, and other grungeisms have been culled from four saccharine albums and a handful of singles and EPs which were perfectly tailored for the kids. Now if this rocks yer board, you probably already have enough Lemonheads to make you nauseous if ya listen to it all at once. So why would anyone pay money for this? My feeling is that it’s not worth my time to put pen to paper for such mediocrity, but, please, feel free to see for yourselves. If your soul feels somehow compromised after listening to so much feminine-side-speaking from sweet Evan, then thank the good Lord that the medical technology exists to clean yer colon of such pop poop.
