For some reason, this just doesn’t grab me. It’s got the right elements: Scantily-clad chicks, big guns, tough cars, scantily-clad chicks with big guns draped on tough cars, Monster Magnet desert rock stonerism filtered through Entombedish death’n’roll with a kinda Gwarish sense of brutal humor, but Crack Up just don’t fully gel. It’s seems too compiled and deliberate. Hard to put yer finger on. Initial response: “Hey, this is really… no, nevermind.”
