Kings of The World (Pavement)
by Scott Hefflon

A blast from the past, but so is bed-wetting… Never cared for David T. Chastain (who, like Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Tom G. Warrior, seems to think you may confuse him with, ya know, the janitor, Yngwie R. Malmsteen), his guitarwork, his songwriting, his production, or his taste. I had to shut this off after “Thief of Hearts” cuz it opened like a poor rip-off of something off Skid Row’s Slave to the Grind and grew into something that reminded me entirely too much of Whitesnake’s “Still of the Night,” and them’s flashbacks I really don’t need. Luckily, this record’s on Pavement so very few will ever see it, much less accidentally purchase it.
