Yikes! Spine-tingling piano songs ala Ben Folds/early Elton John that – unfortunately – have California-earthquake-shaky singing all over ’em. The ivory-tingling is articulate, the backbeat is crisp and sharp, the recording is warm and immediate… If only the singer didn’t miss 85% of the notes he’s going for, this could’ve been a stellar pop album.
