Botch – An Anthology of Dead Ends – Review

Botch

An Anthology of Dead Ends (Hydra Head)
by Tim Den

Goddamnit, we lost another one. The Pacific Northwest powerhouse Botch leaves this mortal realm with one final testament to their brilliance: An Anthology of Dead Ends. It almost makes me mad how good this EP is, just knowing that there will be no follow-up. The band has never sounded better: Awkward catchiness, mind-boggling technicality, third degree-burn ferocity, and just overall fucking top notch songcrafting. Bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan only wish they had this kind of fluid control over math/noise metal. Get this. And while you’re at it, get We are the Romans too. And realize how much time you’ve been wasting on turds.
