Premonitions of War – The True Face of Panic – Review

Premonitions of War

The True Face of Panic (Goodfellow)
by Adrian Bromley

Holy fucking face-peeling intensity, Batman! With no remorse, Premonitions of War go out of their way to (and I quote Yngwie Malmsteen) “unleash the fucking fury!” With seven songs clocking in at just over 18 minutes, POW don’t really have time to jazz up their songs with melodies or anything cute and fancy; they stay down and dirty, serving up a hodge-podge of metal, grindcore, and noisecore. Intense, to say the least (think Coalesce or Converge), The True Face of Panic is an album that’ll send non-fans running and have their diehard fans screaming for more.
