The Holy Fire – Review

Hard to tell from a six-song EP if this’ll last, but it sounds nice. It’s honest and gritty indie rock, with influences of powerpop like Pixies and Husker Dü. So thicker-sounding, lots of guitar jangle with fuzz, and strong melodies. From Detroit, where they don’t take kindly to pussy indie rock, so this is a stronger, more robust strain. Get ’em on the mp3 CD and see if the kids are smart enough to see why this is pretty darn good.
