66Sick (Nuclear Blast)

A few glorious moments here and there to spice up an otherwise completely listenable, completely interchangeable brutal metal band. Diehard fans will recognize most everything, and hail or hate the smidgen more melody, and everyone else will pass right by the boring band name, weak cover, and “not good enough to search for, not bad enough to take off” music. I’m more drawn to the dirgy songs (which all sound the same) than the mid-tempo pound, or stutter, or thunder, but when in the mood, I’ll grab a Hypocrisy CD over this every time.
