Soilbleed (Metropolis)
by DJ Carrion

Grendel unveils a teaser of what to expect from their upcoming new album. They present you with three new songs, including a much-unexpected collaboration with Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, and two bone-crunching remixes of “Soilbleed” from Agonoize and Obszon Geschopf. The first track is a third version of “Soilbleed,” which doesn’t stray too far from the original which appears on the Noitekk United compilation. They also take the techno anthem “Zombie Nation” and bastardize it into one perfect for the new slew of zombie movies.

Of all the versions of “Soilbleed,” the Agonoize remix is just amazing. They tear the original apart and give it an evil Suicide Commando-ish influence that’s sure to kill all targets on the dance floor.

Overall, the new songs showcase a high level of evolvement from the last album, Prescription: Medicide, with a combination of styles from previous releases to form a boiling pot of explosive results. The use of vocoder and samples are a nice touch as well, making you wish they’d hurry and release the album.
