Lonely Starts & Broken Hearts (Hellcat/Epitaph)
by Scott Hefflon

Like The Clash, Rancid, U.S. Bombs, and Swingin’ Utters? So do Left Alone. Wish those bands were younger and hungrier and not, uh, done or on autopilot? Now there’s Left Alone. They’re young, they tour like crazy, and while they’re basically a cover band, they’re an absolute blast to listen to and you can bet they rock out live. From rampaging punk to hard-livin’ Social D-isms (and two ska-heavy tunes I’m trying to forgive them for), they have the might of Epitaph behind ’em, the CD sounds great, and you could have a lot worse time than dancing the night away to Left Alone.
