Scent of a Dream (Two Fat Men)
by Scott Hefflon

Seem to’ve gotten on Two Fat Men’s promo list, and they dumped six releases on me. Scent of a Dream is Thurisaz‘s debut, and it sounds good. Varied, still trying to find itself, but if they blow up, you can claim you’ve been into ’em since the start. Some clean vocals and delicate piano, more Euro-flavored Pink Floyd than Shadows Fall, cuz let’s be honest, most New Wave of American Heavy Metal bands can howl like mad, but can’t carry a tune with both hands. And there’s plenty of manly growl and grunting and shrieking too, of course.
