Where We Stand (Takeover)
by Scott Hefflon

A reissue of the band’s ’99 release, with the original singer, when they were way into NOFX, and before the violin was fully integrated. When people call Yellowcard punk, a lot of people arch an eyebrow. You’ll get it once you’ve heard this. The early stuff was faster, more aggressive, and loved speedpicking offset by dragging the chords all over the neck. NOFX, in other words. Pretty dated, backing vocals kinda suck, and the songs are kinda derivative, but great for diehard fans, and for hearing where it all started.
