This is the second of the six Kekal releases I’ve heard, the other being their third, The Painful Experience, which blew me away. They’re from Indonesia, they’re experimental, conceptual, extreme, ambient, haunting, jazz-fusion prog, and most other “cool, but wow will the mainstream not get this” descriptions. Add electronics and clean singing (in English, with an Asian inflection) and the word “prog” to the mix, and sales just plummeted even more. Anyone bored with the predictable should seek this out immediately.
