Bloodsimple – Red Harvest – Review

Red Harvest (Reprise)
by Scott Hefflon

Bloodsimple are one of those bands from reputable pedigree that simply toes the line. A couple members from NY’s Vision of Disorder (who’ve always impressed me by going beyond the thuggery and buggery), and a brother of a guy in Mastodon (not a fave of mine, and the couple times I met them, it took them an extra second or two to remember what words were before replying). This is their second full-length, I believe, if I can read passed all the hype and get to the meat of the bio. A solid band with good training still trying to find their identity, but with grooves this deep this early on, we might just be in for something killer in a couple more records.
