Only is a swamped genre like metal could a band this good get overlooked. They’re Swedish, of course, and play anthemic melodic death metal that’s true death, plus sweetly anthemic, without being, ya know, emo pussy about it. How over-emoting “metal” bands (mostly from the U.S., mostly with shaggy black hair and eyeliner and tight black jeans, like it makes their songs any less terrible) can get away with their “I’m grounded” tirades and “she doesn’t like me, sniff” whining when there are ass-kicking bands like this writing and playing circles around their poser asses is beyond me.
