Not my favorite type of stuff, but a solid addition to a genre I don’t often shoot whiskey with. Indie rock, with lite psych flourishes and new wave keyboards (a la New Order darkness and depth plus celebration, not “Safety Dance” frivol), and laidback vocals. Syd Barrett comes to mind, but that could be the drenching reverb. Or the beauty in the simplicity of melody. From West Virginia, of all places.
