Why anyone would abandon a Scranton, PA-based ska-punk band named Bob and the Sagets will remain an eternal mystery, but members of that forgotten project joined with some other dudes to form The Menzingers, and their thoughtful, stripped-down take on punk on “Gates” makes it easy to see why they’ve toured with a who’s who of the modern scene.
