Instagram is garbage. We all know that. But it doesn’t stop me from finding, if not jewels, at least cubic zirconia, in its digital landscape from time to time. One such shiny thing is poorlydrawn’s “taillights,” which moseys along at a leisurely pace, with “indie rock” guitars that are played rather tastefully. Only singer Walker Stiglets can’t figure out if he wants to be Julian Casablancas or Stephen Malkmus, so he splits the difference. Like Bobby Milk once said, “Smarten up.” He also can’t figure out if he wants to go to sleep or not. That’s up to him. Hate me all you want, but I kinda like this lazy, stupid song. Yeah.
