The Business – Harry May – The Singles Collection – Review

The Business

Harry May: The Singles Collection (Taang!)
by Scott Hefflon

Oi! music’s most reliable band since the late ’70s have inspired more reissues of their material than anyone else in “the business.” They were never the best (the strongest tracks on this release are covers of better punk songwriters Crass and Sham 69), but they were (and still are) far from the worst. Their obnoxious moments, highlighted by songs like “Smash the Discos” and “Drinkin’ n’ Drivin’,” always shone brighter than their preachy working class drinking anthems.
