An eight-song, 15-minute EP of street-level punk from the Philly area. The Boils have the gritty anger that sounds urban, very middle class, blue-collar.
Great melodic punk with a singer who has a smooth delivery and distinct vibrato somehow evoking Jello Biafra and Roy Orbison while being unique unto itself.
Brutal anti-everything commentary ripping away at human nature, the government, big business, slackerdom, God, injustice, violence, and avoidance/escapism.
With the exception of “Dead End Job,” nothing here is much to write about. Snarly punk, but if you have Nobodys’ other records, you’ve got better than this.
This is their debut full-length. Let’s gather around Midtown and give them a big group hug of support (and whisper to drop the Bon Jovi influence… or else).
