While 13 year old girls get gooey over a lot of awful bands, a few transcend teenbiebopper boy blandness, like The All-American Rejects and Hellogoodbye.
They bring on the altrock, and after the shock, I remember that they’re not cashing in, they’ve been writing solid, catchy rock for half a decade or so.
It really surprised many of us just how lifeless this is. It’s odd that Rob Zombie could suck this bad without doing it intentionally. The best tunes here have been done far better elsewhere, by Rob and his peers, and even his knock-offs.
Yeah, ok, so fake accents aside, there are a couple real barn-burners here, “It Ain’t Over” being my fave. Group shouts and swearing and shitty production.
