“Edgar’s Airwaves” / “Glorious Hair” (Generic)

Meaty lo-fi punk. Screeching, scratchy vocals; thick and onerous rhythmic bass lines; lots of heavy guitar distortion and crashing percussion punctuate Side A. Side B is a bit sluggish, starting with a slow, pretty plucking guitar sound before changing tempo. Great production by Steve Albini makes this an impressive debut from one of Long Island, NY’s most promising new bands.
