Pressure Point – Cross to Bear – Review

Pressure Point

Cross to Bear (GMM)
by Scott Hefflon

The last couple months has seen a full-length and an EP from Pressure Point, both authentically under-produced by Lars Fredericksen, spouting working class ethics and a message of unity. While I remember their previous record as being heavier, this is honest punk the way it should be. With gruff vocals, occasional solos, and group shouts that make you lean forward and spray spittle on the sweaty fan around you, Pressure Point are street-level punk that’ll make any Oi fan reminisce about the good ol’ days. Boots, shaved heads, and having each others backs’ is what it’s all about. Violence when necessary, booze whenever possible, and unity above all. Fans of The Business, Dropkick Murphys, or any of the new school of old school pub punk oughtta check these bruisers out.
