First By A Thread, now Thursday has reinstated my faith in heavy emocore (played in always beautiful minor progressions). All the right ingredients are here: Longing vocals, occasional anguished screams, violins, nicely distorted guitars that’re warm (and have lots of octaves). It’s good to have bands who don’t break any new ground but are still great at what they do. Thursday is one of these bands.
