Cherry Poppin Daddies – Soul Caddy – Review

Cherry Poppin Daddies

Soul Caddy (Mojo)
by Scott Hefflon

Cherry Poppin’ Daddies are bright enough to throw a few curveballs into the mix. If you think you’re going to get all fingersnapping swing with some ska and funky boogies thrown in, you’re also gonna get an Offspringish punk anthem, a slow ballad, a couple odd rockers, and the classic opener, “Diamond Light Boogie,” which wails on Iggy’s “Lust for Life” beat and snakes and swaggers like Diamond Dave in his early post-Van Halen solo tomfoolery.
