Eleven Minutes Away

I like stand up comedy, I like salmon steaks. I don’t grill comedians (usually, but there was that one time…) and I haven’t laughed at a fish’s jokes since the experimental daze. Eleven Minutes Away is a decent example (Deep Elm knows where to find ’em) of a genre I have little use for. Part harmonied powerpop (verses, choruses, everything seconded), part screamo. The melodies are nice enough, there’re two of everything, and screamo can go fuck itself.
