To exaggerate, it’s like Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood, or Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore. There’s a guy and girl singing, and they play opposite roles.
There’s nothing to distinguish them from the rest of the genre bands, there’s absolutely nothing about them to turn anyone off, unless you loathe the genre.
A reissue of the band’s ’99 release, with the original singer, when they were way into NOFX, and before the violin was fully integrated. When people call Yellowcard punk, a lot of people arch an eyebrow. You’ll get it once you’ve heard this.
Some heavy stuff, some spacey stuff, some theremin, some riffs a high school metal band’d play. Maybe they can open a show Neurosis plays in their hometown?
Power metal from Finland. Slightly less embarrassing than some, but still goofy as hell. A little more manly than the frilly-shirted prancers, but not much.
Not trendy indie new wave-obsessed garbage, but The Epoxies kinda set themselves up for the comparison with their fashion sense and slathered keyboards.
