Void Generator
We Have Found The Space
by Scott Hefflon
Except that I kept calling them Void Generation last time, I’m with these guys. They seem to’ve gotten A LOT better since a couple years ago, which is good, cuz they were generally cool, but didn’t really offer much to sink yer teeth into, unless you like your stoner rock a bit bland, all about the fuzz and not the tunes. There are some tunes here that smack of We’re All Gonna Die, and just cuz they live fifteen minutes away from me doesn’t make them any less a nationally-worthy band that, in a less shitty world, should be fighting off massive record deals and groupies with a big fuckin’ club. Void Generator is still unsigned, still self-recorded, still a bit erratic in the tracking and mixing, and follow great tunes with anthemic choruses to kill for with filler that’d normally be dropped from a demo CD burn. Get these guys on the mp3 CD (and fix that old typo), and bring these rockers to American ears, who desperate need it.
