I always thought this band had been around for ages, but evidently, they’ve been together since 2002, and released their first EP in 2004. On Dionysus, got a full-length and DVD on Sympathy for the Record Industry, and are now on respected little indie Dim Mak (who I thought focused more on lighter fare, but I’d be glad if they keep putting out the goods like this, and maybe promoted them occasionally as well). Got a couple tracks in Eternal Sunshine and Science of Sleep, and they have a nice “old time rock and roll” sound and have toured with Wolfmother, New York Dolls, Brian Jonestown Massacre, and more.
