The Vein – Monsters and Men – Review

Monsters and Men (Rebelution)
by Scott Hefflon

A new band yet to find it’s style, and therefore tossing themselves into various outfits that appeal to them, most fitting well, but generally causing confusing about the band’s actual identity. Various quality influences are brought to light, examined, then put away. Danzig to stoner to psychedelia to Jeff Buckley to The Doors, yeah, it’s a lot to absorb all at once. Any one song wouldn’t give an accurate presentation of the band, and the album as a whole gives too many variables, and therefore doesn’t create a cohesive picture. Heh, get a track on the mp3 CD and assign to the CD to someone and let them sort it all out.
