Wizardry

An interesting mix of psychedelic stoner metal and mystical power metal (mostly in the soaring vocals and anthemic choruses). Plenty of Medieval sludge and dirge, but with battle axe guitar chops that are anything but lethargic. Talent is in no short supply, there are whoa-whoas like Maiden, and the production, while thick, is far from muddy or spit-shined like Soilwork/In Flames/Dark Tranquillity. From Brooklyn, newish band, could be their first, it’s hard to tell cuz there’s no bio, and no reviews I can find with a quick Google search.
