Always good to hear symphonic death, especially the dark dirge (classic Celtic Frost), not just hyperspeed blackened race (pick a few dozen), but the double-bass is too far forward, the guitars are a seeming afterthought, and the horror strings and monk chants don’t really take the moonlight until over three minutes into this six minute semi-snoozer. This is a lyric video, and the lyrics are dumb. Third track released from Franckensteina Strataemontanus, and while the story “resurrects the gruesome story of troubled soul ‘Conrad Dippel;’ the inspiration of Mary Shelly’s novel Frankenstein,” it’s a zombie stumble of a resurrection.
