Nikola Sarcevic – Lock-Sport-Krock – Review

Nikola Sarcevic

Lock-Sport-Krock (Epitaph)
by Tim Den

Following in the footsteps of Joey, Tony, and Dennis (aka The Lost Patrol), Millencolin guitarist/vocalist Nikola Sarcevic has gone acoustic for his solo debut. And like the aforementioned band leaders, what you can expect are pared-down versions of irresistible melodies stripped of fast tempos and flashy git licks. All of the song, none of the anxiety. Is it me, or are mid-’90s punk bands the authors of some of this generation’s best tunes? Granted, Millecolin weren’t the top dogs of their pack, but I’d take anything off of Lock-Sport-Krock over modern radio.
