Produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge), and it’s nicely non-muddy, high-end scream metal along those lines. They’ve played with Converge and Cursed, and Hot Cross.
Too bad I like grind as much as I like vomiting and blowing diarrhea out my ass at the same time, with my dick in a blender and my head in a trash compactor.
Yeah, they’re one of “those bands.” They wear eyeliner, have moppy hair, and sing all pussy over kinda heavy guitars, and people probably call them “metal.”
A fraction of the metal thrashing mad fun, and the humor is all but gone. Some evil thirds singing sweet Slayer, but the majority here seems played out.
No idea why Raunchy doesn’t catch on more. Fear Factory and Strapping Young Lad took off, and Raunchy mix in the clean singing of Avenged Sevenfold as well.
Debut full-length by a Tampa, Florida band that, quite amusingly, play melodic Swedish death metal. Very expertly, I might add. No clean vocals for these guys.
Sexy female vocals, chugging, monster guitars, the heavy version of the stuff that gets watered down for TV show themes and action movies with kick-ass chicks.
Brings to the table eccentricity (gone since Hell Bent For Leather), dimension, a whole new persona to this band of many faces and misplaces over the years.
Timeless metal, with ageless melodies and divine human creativity that challenges the heavens. The Essential is for either a complete newbie or a completist.
