I have their self-titled release memorized. This one leaves me a bit cold. The singer sings more, and his clean vocals were the weakest part of the last one.
First full-length from this South Jersey band. Produced by a guy who’s worked with Atreyu, Hatebreed, and Mastodon. Metalcore with doubled clean vocals.
Detroit take on European metal like Soilwork, In Flames, et all. Not hugely memorable guitarwork, hardcore roar and harmonied clean vocals, and keyboard.
Classic Boston hardcore, for better or worse. Most of the guys are old school, and have been in a number of bands, and other, uh, “groups of angry young men.”
Around for a decade, this is their second effort (had a name change in there), first was released by Noise. This is too mid-tempo warbling prog metal for me.
No, not Caliban from Germany, Kaliban from Finland, who play melodic metal, kinda extreme, but with almost as much keyboard and quiet bits as growling.
When you can shred like Chris Impelliteri, even if you dumb down, you still smoke. The song “Punk” makes fun of punk sellout (late) and rap metal (late).
