I was expecting an all-out riff picnic from this, but instead got a platter of deep, pulsing beats and basslines, sparse guitars, dark and distant vocals.

Metachrome has all the charm of late ’80s industrial. Unfortunately, the charm seems to wear off after a few songs and reminds me of a real bad night at a club.
