Fans of Guttermouth and The Vandals who’re looking for a younger band to be kind of offensive, fast, snotty and, well, punk, should check out Beefcake.
Picking up where the the heart-wrenching aspects of their last effort left off, Vaya takes the band’s trademark weird vocal lines and amplifies them ten-fold.
Heavy without being overwhelming, attentive to atmosphere and breathing room, and with a nice driving beat. Then, Oops!, the rest of the song comes in. Bland.
Gob are fast, Canadian melodic punk with heavier-sounding guitars than your average teddy and lyric sheets are provided for those into that sorta thing.
A re-release of 30footFALL’s first full-length. Their second (I think) release, Acme-143, also on Fearless, is much more polished, tightened, and versatile.
