Sincerity Is An Easy Disguise In This Business (Eulogy)
by Scott Hefflon

Sincerity Is An Easy Disguise In This Business makes me tear at my ears less than I feared. I fully expected bottom-feeding hardcore metal, screamy and roary, with predictable breakdowns, and not a sense of melody or individual style to be found. Sure, these fellas drive every cliché in the book into the freakin’ ground, but there are hints at actual songwriting here, and the vocalist might even qualify as a singer in another year, if he’d quit sharing the mic with the other guy, who roars like every other constipated hardcore moron. These guys should be on the mp3 CD, but Eulogy seems to promote to people who already like Eulogy bands, which hopefully won’t hurt a band like this, one that has the potential of breaking outside of its narrow genre, if they get the breaks, and push the limits more than toe the line.
