The bio writer seems to agonize over the Black Flag comparison. Uh, why? It’s obvious, and it’s not like the band could possibly get pissed cuz they think Black Flag suck or some shit. Battleship is from Oakland, have skronky sax, waggling bass, clattering drums, and a distorted yowler who surely throws tantrums on the stage. Angular and intense music and performance, actually sounds like a buzzsaw in a couple of the songs, but that could be the way the feedback and clatter intersect. Love to get these guys on the mp3 CD and scare cats from coast to coast, but I can’t even get an email to not bounceback from the label, how punk rock is that!?!
