What the hell is Alternative Tentacles doing releasing black metal?!? Ludicra is from San Francisco, sure, but I kinda doubt AT has the contacts to work this to the right crowd. Then again, the band’s debut and self-titled EP were on the powerhouse label that isn’t Life is Abuse, so perhaps expectations are low for a band like this. It’s the guy from Hammers of Misfortune, who many people speak highly of, but necro-thrash and dark, miserable howl is kinda eight years over. But an increasing share of a dwindling market still amounts to sales, I guess.
